1. Overview

This website is operated by Furniture by Colour. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Furniture by Colour. By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service.

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order.


2. Handmade & Made-to-Order Products

All items sold by Furniture by Colour are handmade and made to order specifically for each customer.

  • Each item is produced individually after an order is placed

  • Natural variations in wood, grain, colour, texture, and finish are a normal and expected part of the handmade process

  • No two items will be exactly the same

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that minor variations are not defects but part of the handmade nature of the product.


3. Order Acceptance & Production

  • Orders are confirmed once payment has been received

  • Production may begin shortly after order confirmation

  • Materials may be sourced or prepared specifically for your order

Once production has started, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.


4. Cancellation of Orders

Due to the handmade and made-to-order nature of our products, customers may cancel their order within 48 hours of purchase, provided that production has not yet begun.

After 48 hours, or once production has started (whichever occurs first), orders cannot be cancelled, as work and materials may already be in progress.

To cancel an order, customers must contact us in writing within the 48-hour cancellation period.

This cancellation policy does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.


5. Delivery

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary

  • Risk passes to the customer once the item has been delivered

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring accurate delivery information


6. Reporting Issues & Returns

Customers must contact us within 5 days of delivery to report any issue or request a return.

This includes:

  • Damage during delivery

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Incorrect items received

Failure to notify us within this timeframe may result in the return being refused, unless required by law.


7. Returns for Made-to-Order Items

Because our items are handmade and made to order:

  • Returns are not accepted for change of mind

  • Returns are accepted only if the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described

This is in line with consumer rights for bespoke or made-to-order goods.


8. Condition of Returned Items

Where a return is approved:

  • Items must be returned in their original condition

  • Items must not have been used, installed, or altered

  • Return instructions must be followed

We reserve the right to refuse refunds for items returned in an unsuitable condition.


9. Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Refunds are processed once returned items have been inspected

  • Delivery costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty


10. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We ask customers to contact us directly to resolve any issues before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

By purchasing from us, you agree that:

  • These Terms of Service govern refunds and returns

  • Chargebacks submitted without prior contact may be disputed

We reserve the right to provide order confirmation, delivery evidence, and acceptance of these terms to payment providers when responding to disputes.


11. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory consumer rights.
